CILR’s letter to the TDSB Trustees, in defence of Alexandra Lulka
Dear Trustees,
RE: December 8th Trustee Vote
We, Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights, concerned members of the Jewish Community, are outraged at the unfair and biased investigation against Alexandra Lulka for doing nothing more than raising her voice against the Antisemitic rants by a TDSB employee.
In May 2021, a virulent 51-page anti-Israel manual was distributed to hundreds if not thousands of teachers by Javier Davila, yet, a student equity program advisor with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) defended his actions, rather than condemn his damaging influence on educators, who then poison young students’ minds by spreading such false mis-education.
We ask the voting members at the above meeting, to push back against growing anti-Semitism, and take positive steps by incorporating factual educational material into the curriculum, instead of spreading lies and myths.

Project 2: CILR Pamphlet: We are in the process of preparing a short excerpt of the book: The Jewish People’s Rights to the Land of Israel, authored by the late Salomon Benzimra.
Quoting columnist Barbara Kay: “This book should be on the reading list of all university courses….it is a useful crash course for politicians…also for reporters on the Middle East”.
We are planning to distribute this pamphlet to educators, students, NGOs, and others.
Project 3: Education Outreach: We are calling on all like-minded organizations, bloggers, journalists, advocates, and influencers, to stress the imperative of education.
We appeal to all supporters of Israel, to aid us in our quest to spread knowledge about the facts of Israel’s Rights.

Much is said about the positive changes in the Middle East through the UAE Abraham Accords, which some call the Trump Accords
Bilateral agreements abound, including, economic, cultural, technical, and more. Education is mentioned as being part of the agreements, but it needs more emphatic implementation, in order to achieve at least a dent in the concrete wall of ignorance and ill-spirit, leading the world down a slippery road to its demise.
PM Bennett describes ‘deep and solid’ ties in the Middle East upon his historic visit to the UAE.
He stressed: “Cooperation in the fields of health……will constitute a major part of mutual co-operation”.
He added: “The relations between the two countries have strengthened in all fields, and I am very satisfied with that, as many co-operation agreements were concluded in the fields of trade, research and development, and cyber security, health, education, aviation and more, and I look forward to the continued development and consolidation of relations…”Read more.

CILR Appeals to PM Naftali Bennett:
Dear Naftali Bennett, PM of Israel,
The time has come, now that you are at the head of the Government of Israel, to declare to the world, that the indigenous Jewish people have Legal Rights to the Land, of Israel from the river to the sea. Declare the date of the signing of the San Remo Resolution a National Holiday, called: YOM SAN REMO!
It is time to incorporate into the Israeli education system that Israel is the rightful owner of the land from the river to the sea., to provide wider knowledge to students about Israel’s Legal rights, before they enlist in the IDF. They must know what they are fighting for.
I would like to remind you of our personal meeting with you in 2016, as then Minister of Education and Diaspora Affairs, just days prior to Salomon Benzimra’s passing.

MIKE POMPEO AT THE ZOA 2021 SUPER GALA STANDS UP AGAINST THE “OCCUPATION” LIE.
Excerpts from Pompeo’s speech: …….is there really any legal truth to the accusation that Israel is occupying Palestinian land? You all know, the answer is absolutely not.”
During his administration, he said he created what was called the Pompeo Doctrine, which made it the official position of the U.S. State Department to not call Israel’s control of Judea and Samaria an occupation and make clear that Jerusalem is the undivided capital of Israel.
“The bottom line is that Israel is not an occupier and the hundreds of thousands of Jews and Christians who call Judea, Samaria and Eastern Jerusalem home, have a perfectly legitimate right to live there in safety under Israeli sovereignty,” Pompeo said.
It is now up to the Government of Israel to do its part. To do more in defence of her rights, without buckling with shaking knees before the deniers.
And thus, only thus will Israel gain recognition of her rights, and gain world respect. (*CILR)

OHIO GOV. MIKE DeWINE ISSUES STATEMENT AGAINST ANTISEMITISM
“A student’s time at a college or university is one of intellectual challenge—an opportunity to broaden one’s outlook and learn new ideas. It is also a time of personal growth, meeting people who come from different backgrounds and volunteering with worthy organizations to advance important issues. Our campuses strive to be safe places to study, grow and develop,” wrote DeWine in the letter on Nov. 29. “No student should be afraid on a college or university campus, especially because of their race or religion. Sadly, for too many of our Jewish students today, that is not the case. Cases of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel sentiments have been reported on our campuses here in Ohio and nationally.”Read more
TOMAS SENDELL, FOUNDING DIRECTOR OF EUROPEAN COALITION FOR ISRAEL
We were honored to have Tomas as one of our key panelists of our latest webinar: "104 Years since the Balfour Declaration".
Tomas Sandell, a Christian, is a tireless fighter for Israel’s Legal Rights. He is the Founding Director of the European Coalition for Israel, which was formed in Brussels in 2003 in order to fight anti-Semitism and foster closer relations between Europe and Israel.
Tomas informed us that he will be back for his next in person meeting at the European Parliament early next month and at the UN again either next month or in February.
Tomas Sandell has this to say about the differences that exist between the EU and EC4I positions: “While there are differences in our positions ….. it is nevertheless important that we keep in contact, and challenge their perceptions while remaining constructive at the same time.
And he added:
“I think a lot more could be done by the established Jewish organizations around the world who have a voice and who have a platform,”

Antisemitism at the Toronto District School Board has led to a backlash that the Board undoubtedly did not expect. It was high time that the largest school board in Canada, and the fourth largest in North America, faced accountability regarding its use of public funds to promote a pro-Palestinian Arab agenda as part of its “equity” and “diversity” program. The Board’s actions go back to Operation Guardian of the Walls in May, and climaxed with the targeting of a Jewish school board trustee who was taken to the woodshed by the Board for pointing out a disturbing incident of antisemitism displayed by the TDSB’s equity advisor.
