RECORDING OF "CELEBRATING SAN REMO 101"

IN CASE YOU MISSED OUR WEBINAR

CELEBRATING SAN REMO 101

ORGANIZED BY CILR IN PARTNERSHIP WITH IM TIRTZU

AND IN COLLABORATION WITH THE ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA

A recording of the event can be viewed here.

San Remo is now in the public eye

IT IS UP TO ALL OF US TO KEEP IT THERE.

Encouraged by the overwhelming accolades/messages received from the 500 attendees, from as far as Australia, Gibraltar, Europe and the USA, we are left with the task to keep up the momentum.

The theme of the event was the imperative of educating about Israel’s Legal Rights, stressed by CILR’s Goldi Steiner and Irving Weisdorf. and amply covered by the press.

Details of the Aftermath.

The choice of the theme: "Why Education of Israel’s Rights to the Land Is More Important Now Than Ever”, was eloquently addressed by the distinguished panelists, Mort Klein President of ZOA, and top legal experts in the field, namely Avi Bell and Eugene Kontorovich, with Doug Altabef speaking about the historical importance of San Remo and Interestingly, comparing Theodor Herzl to Moshe Rabeinu.

The event was graced by Council General Galit Baram of Toronto and Western Canada who bought warm personal and official greetings, and added: "The State of Israel and the education system have a responsibility, as well as parents and educators, to provide information about the San Remo Conference and the fundamental role it plays in the history of Zionism and the history of the State of Israel."

Former UN Ambassador Danny Danon said: "It is important to speak about the San Remo Conference, which codified our international rights to the Land of Israel."

Knesset Speaker Yariv and Levin, echoed by Simcha Rothman, congratulated the organizers of the conference: "I have no doubt that thanks to your work, the Jewish People in Israel and around the world will have a better understanding of the [legal and] historic significance of the conference and its implications today.”

Former MK and IDF Maj. Gen. Uzi Dayan, who submitted a bill in the previous Knesset on behalf of Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights, repeatedly pleaded with the government to commemorate San Remo as a national holiday, calling it YOM SAN REMO.

Dayan said: "The San Remo Conference is maybe the most unknown conference in Israel. But because it's so meaningful to the Zionist movement and because it was a point of no return for the rebuilding of the Jewish state, it's important to remember it. But it's not enough to remember, you have to do something about it."

Goldi Steiner, co-chair of Canadians for Israel's Legal Rights, also spoke at the event and echoed Dayan's call to institute an official national holiday commemorating the San Remo Conference.

FROM THE AUDIENCE:

To best illustrate the essence of our educational webinar --to educate the public about the importance of the San Remo Resolution, which gave Israel her Magna Carta, according to British Foreign Minister Lord Curzon, we bring you one example -- one of many more:

"I have been shouting the same message for years, from many rooftops. But it seems as if the wind comes right back at me! I share your [CILR’s] struggle. It is the truth: the legal truth, the historical truth. I am with you. I stand with the truth. I look forward to your future seminars.

Levi Atias Blessings and best wishes from Gibraltar”

All the work we have expended until now is just the beginning of all that remains to be done. With continued help from lovers and defenders of Israel, from our friends and our associates, our struggle must and will continue.

We are hoping that somewhere — some day a CHAMPION will come forward — someone who shares our goals and values— to help us make our dreams come true; when every student in the world, and the nations of the world will recognize the Jewish People’s Rights to the Land of Israel

The Jewish People’s Rights to the Land of Israel, it is available at:

FUTURE PLANS:

  • Next on our agenda is to hold seminars for high school and University students, who are the next generation of voters, and leaders.

  • We must also fight — vigorously — to Debunk the “Occupation” and other lies promoted by the Palestinian Arabs and supported by the UN, the EU, and AntiZionists throughout the world.

We are now in the midst of planning our next webinar celebrating The Mandate for Palestine on July 24th. Details will be announced in due time.

Please mark the date in you calendar.

Wishing everyone good health, and a pleasant spring and summer.
