FROM THE STATE OF THE CURRENT STATE OF ISRAEL AND THE IMPORTANCE OF YOM SAN REMO TO THE WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN
MK Dan Illouz was invited to Toronto to speak About the San Remo Resolution and the state of Israel as she tackled with possible changes to the Supreme Court. How we all wish that could have been his presentation. October 7 happened and our world turned upside down.
He reiterated the importance of the San Remo Resolution: that it was a pivotal point in Israel’s history as it gave Israel legal rights over all the land including Judea and Samaria but then turned to massacre: the worst situation Israel has known in its history. He shared the words of Israel’s President Herzog: “This was the day the most Jews had been killed since the Holocaust.” The more than 1000 people murdered in Israel is comparable to 30,000 in America. Illouz gave us a call to arms. He asked the Diaspora to call our elected officials and make clear to them that Israel needs to take care of business and must not be asked to stop until Israel is safe, Hamas is destroyed and Iran put on notice.
We must heed that call, as soon after Israel responded, the world turned on our people and called for a ceasefire.
Despite the somber mood, the event was well attended, counting close to 300 attendees. We were graced by the attendance of numerous dignitaries who wish to remain anonymous, but we must one we must acknowledge, the world renown Legal Expert, Dr. Jacques Gauthier, accompanied by his lovely wife and daughter, Rani and Adriela.
The event flowed smoothly, as guests were passing through strict security surveillance, and the reception desk attended by Chani Aryeh Bain, Freya Morrison, and Adina Bain.
Diane Weber Bederman, PR Envoy acted as MC, Irving Weisdorf, Co-Chair, introduced MK Dan Illouz, and Goldi Steiner, Founder and Co-Chair together with Dan Illouz read the Prayer for the Soldiers for Israel.
Illouz delivered an informative lecture within the confines and restrictions of his position.
Followed by Q&A under the expertise of Miles Smit and his team of CHAT volunteers; Noa Rouhi, Jersey Cohen, and Madeline Valkov.
Closing words were delivered by Irving Weisdorf. And lastly, Goldi Steiner presented MK Illouz with a plaque of appreciation “For his continuous efforts for the benefit of the State of Israel”. The event ended with the singing, of an emotional, subdued, solemn Hatikva-HOPE.
The audience was captivated, and appreciative, as evidenced by the positive feedback, i.e. “very informative”, “well spoken”, “Looking forward to meeting him again”, “an enlightening talk”, “Grateful for the spiritual uplift in these dark days”.
Quoting MK Dan Illouz: on October the 7thth the day of the barbarian butchery: "Hamas launched a terror attack in which about 800 innocent Israelis were killed, 2,700 Injured at 7:00 am in the morning, and a large number of civilians were kidnapped to Gaza during Simchat Torah, a day of profound spiritual significance. It must be clear to everyone that this is a bloodthirsty organization, full of malice. [war criminals] In this war, we will prevail. Hamas will regret the day it started it. Our hearts are with the families of the victims”

Close to 200 high school students and educators attended a most invigorating, lecture the morning of October 11th.

A Call to the Civilized World
Ladies and gentlemen, believers in democracy and modernity,
My name is Dr. Mordechai Kedar, a researcher of the Middle East and Islam. Israel is at war.
A war between the Jewish state and Isis-like terrorists who believe that Jews should not have a state at all, should be subjugated to Islam, should be humiliated as it says in the Koran and should pay the jizia (head tax). According to their belief, if Jews dare to establish a state, even on their fore-fathers' land, they should be exterminated.
On October 7th, in the early morning, Hamas attacked thousands of Israelis, for no reason. They murdered, raped, tortured and mutilated children in front of their parents and parents in front of their children and then shot them. It wasn't enough to kill them however, and they desecrated the bodies, cutting of heads and burning them so that in some cases it is almost impossible to identify them.
Many of the terrorists filmed their barbaric acts and uploaded them to their social media.
Many Gazans followed the armed terrorists into Israeli territory in order to gloat, kill and loot. Others in Gaza went out to the streets and distributed sweets in celebration of this grand victory over the Jews.
Some 15 hundred Israelis and foreign nationals were murdered that day in cold blood. Entire families were wiped out and people who came to enjoy themselves at a music festival fell victim to hatred towards anything western. Statistically, 1500 Israelis can be compared in number to 45,000 Americans. 15 times the amount that were murdered on September 11th 2001.
Over 200 people were kidnapped and are held as hostages in Ghaza.
Hamas is the Palestinian tentacle of the Iranian octopus which has reached also into Lebanon, Hezbollah, militias in Syria, Iraq and Yemen, who are all preparing to wipe out Israel as per the orders of the Ayatollahs regime in Iran. Israel's struggle for survival is not only for Israel. If the jihadists succeed to destroy Israel, Europe will be the next and the Atlantic Ocean is not wide enough to keep America safe from this evil.
This is a war between good against evil, civilization against savagery, normalcy against barbarism. It is the struggle between western culture and the jihadists lead by Iran, who want to destroy it. Just imagine how the world will look like if Iran succeeds to acquire the doomsday weapon.
