I am honored to be counted by Esther and Jonathan among their close friends during our more than thirty years of friendship and support; and it is with tears of joy that I exclaim MAZAL TOV! After 35 years of unrelenting punishment, a gross miscarriage of justice has been rectified and Esther and Jonathan have finally come home! (On a sober note) It is shameful that, in 1992 deliberations of three Appellate Court judges, the two who opposed a new trial for Jonathan - Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Laurence Silberman – were both Jews. The only dissenting opinion was filed by Judge Stephen Williams – a non-Jew – who declared the decision a ‘fundamental miscarriage of justice”… Goldi Steiner

Jonathan Pollard deserves Israel’s eternal gratitude as well as its remorse for how long it took to bring him home. (December 30, 2020 / JNS) Jonathan Pollard has finally come home, and like many homecomings, this day is both happy and sad. This day was a very long time coming—decades in the making. The years of Jonathan’s imprisonment, and later his release under restrictions that did not allow him to leave New York, were excruciatingly long.
