This Monday, November 2, is the 103rd anniversary of the Balfour Declaration. The issuing of the Declaration was key in the rebirth of the nation of Israel in Palestine. From a letter of intent, it became a document under international law as it was included in the Mandate for Palestine, (July 1922)

FIGHTING ANTISEMITISM/ANTIZIONISM IS TAKING CENTRE STAGE

The IHRA Definition of Antisemitism/Antizionism has been adopted by the Ontario government, it is being hailed as leap forward in the right direction. We are expecting its implementation to follow in due course.

We express our appreciation to Robin Martin and Will Bouma for introducing Bill 168, which most likely expedited the adoption of the IHRA definition by the Ontario Legislature

There are pending, unresolved issues to be tackled, among them two alarming incidents, which must be pursued.

Here are the links to two concrete pending-unresolved-ignored issues:

NORMALIZATION BETWEEN ISRAEL AND ARAB COUNTRIES

Arab Countries – UAE, the Balkans, and many more are projected to make peace with Israel; this bodes well for the Jewish people. For the first time since time immemorial, the Jewish people will take their well-deserved, and recognized place among the Nations of the world. This newsletter will not deal with the details of the agreement, which can be found in the MSM, repeatedly. Our hope is that the "Normalization” will strengthen Israel’s security, and will result in the much-desired peace in the Middle East, a Peace that has eluded the Jewish State for over 100 years.

Rediscovering Joan Peters in Israel, by Geoffrey Clarfield

As the world celebrates the new peace treaties between the State of Israel and its Arab neighbours, there will still be much pressure on the Israeli government to succumb to the creation of a third Arab Palestinian State (the first two being Jordan and Gaza) in the heartland of Judea and Samaria with a "capital" in East Jerusalem. The truth of the matter is that according to international law Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem belong to the Jewish people and their representative, the State of Israel. Admittedly this argument goes against the "received wisdom" of our day, but if you have the patience to read it you just might reject this "received wisdom" and come to your own conclusion. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PALESTINIAN

By Lambert Paul -- Alias P.L. Edwardson

Our whole world is perennially obsessed with the Arab-Israeli conflict. The issue will not just go away. Even more astonishing is that an issue on which the whole planet seems to be focused is so poorly understood in modern society, and no matter where you live (even if you live in Israel)

Review by MARK VANDERMAAS -- CILR's Advisor CILR advisor, Mark Vandermaas of Israel Truth Week was recently asked by a pro-Israel friend to review a book with the provocative title, 'There's No Such Thing As A Palestinian' which outlines the reasons why the gentile author (who once tried to join the IDF) feels a Jewish National one-state solution is the only choice for Israel. Mark's long-held belief, of course, is that focusing on solutions when 98% of pro-Israel people have never even read Israel's modern land rights -- derived from the San Remo Conference and the Mandate for Palestine -- is counter-productive, but he promised to do an honest review. Without endorsing the author's conclusion, he carefully considers it as he likely becomes the first pro-Israel advocate to explore the difference between 'solutions' and 'choices' from Israel's perspective. Mark's full review can be found here. For information about Israel’s Land Rights, why Jews are owners not occupiers. CANADIAN AMBASSADOR AT THE UN

Canada’s ambassador to the UN, Bob Rae, would not hear of the hypocrisy at the UN. He gave an impressive unscripted speech defending Human Rights as it should be.
