Together We Are Marching Forward!

Canadians for Israel’s Legal Rights-CILR are proud partners of IM TIRTZU, Israel’s most influential movement in recent years. We have been working together this year on the major project of Debunking the Occupation Lie, a lie which has given rise to the BDS movement, and in turn, to antisemitism across the world, especially on university campuses. Despite the challenging times we are facing, together with IM TIRTZU we continue to make every effort to go forward with the plans we set forth.

Say “NO” to a Joint Arab List- Backed Government

The left-wing bloc in Israel led by the Blue & White party is seeking to form a government with the support of the Joint Arab List, which opposes Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state and has voiced support for terrorism. We believe that this is a threat to the very existence of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state; therefore, we launched a campaign aimed at deterring the self-declared nationalistic members of Blue & White and Yisrael Beitenu from supporting such a government. The campaign includes:

  • Email petition – Thus far we facilitated the sending of more than 45,000 emails. Coincidentally or not, two days after we launched the email petition, Gesher head Orly Levy-Abekasis announced that she would not support a Joint Arab List-backed government!

  • Large-scale social media activity – In one and a half weeks, we uploaded more than 45 posts that have reached more than 2,300,000 people and videos that were viewed more than 450,000 times on Facebook alone. One particular video we uploaded was reposted to the social media accounts of Prime Minister Netanyahu and was viewed more than 550,000 times.

  • Door hangers and flyers – We distributed a total of 40,000 door hangers and another 10,000 flyers in the communities of Blue & White members Zvi Hauser, Gabi Ashkenazi, Yoaz Hendel, Hili Tropper, and Yisrael Beienu's Oded Forer, urging them to oppose this disgraceful move.

Helping Others During These Trying Times

Now more than ever, Im Tirtzu is continuing to operate in full force. We launched an emergency hotline aimed at helping families and those in quarantine who need food and other basic supplies but are unable to go out shopping. Our amazing volunteers have already helped deliver food to dozens of people, and we will continue the hotline for as long as necessary. If you live in Israel and are in need of help/would like to volunteer, please sign up here.
